The Argentine-Jerichoan War (sometimes referred to as First Orion War) was a major armed conflict between the Technocratic State of Argentina and the Free State of Jericho between 2195 and 2199. The conflict stemmed from Argentine frigates crossing through Jerichoan space starting in 2194, not following the shipping lanes established around the system in 2181 and thus violating Jericho's independence treaty. Repeated warnings from Jericho notwithstanding, this continued up until 25 March 2195, when the Buena Vista, an argentine heavy jumpship, was destroyed by Jerichoan forces. The TSA then immediately declared war on Jericho.

The Argentine-Jerichoan War was the first major interstellar conflict spanning over several star systems. The Battle of Point Solace was the first battle waged in interstellar space, taking place at Point Solace, an interstellar relay between the Bliss and New Jericho systems.
