Warp drive engine
A warp drive engine is a spacecraft propulsion system capable of generating an Alcubierre field around a spacecraft through the use of Stauber–Barany particles and by extension allowing relative faster-than-light travel.
After their discovery in 2036, Stauber–Barany particles served as the basis for the first warp drive engine, built by Wilhelm Gosfeldt in 2041. Since then, the engine has undergone several iterations and the current working iteration is the Gosfeldt Mark V series, capable of relative velocities of up to X ly/TBA.
