The Outer Sol War, sometimes referred to as Plutonian Uprising or Plutonian War of Independence, was an armed conflict in the outer Sol system from 2198 to 2200. The conflict was sparked by civil unrest on Pluto, then a colony of the Technocratic State of Argentina, over mining rights, as the TSA had been heavily mining water ice and methane on Pluto to support the war effort.

Various polities in the outer Sol system would join the war in support of the Plutonian rebels, with the exception of the Saturn Democratic Syndicate, to which the TSA had promised a mining treaty over Pluto. The North Atlantic Conglomerate, at the time at war with the TSA, also provided support to the rebels as well as safe passage through the Jovian system. Argentine forces eventually pulled out of Pluto on 21 April 2199, following the Treaty of Lothal. The SDS would continue fighting until 12 January 2200.

This war was the first armed conflict between sovereign states in the outer Sol system, and the first major conflict in the Sol system since the Second Martian Civil War ended in 2139. [CHANGE THIS?]
