The Jashari Conflict (also known as the Jashari War, Jashari Insurgency, First Skadarija War and First Voivoda War) was an armed conflict on the planet Voivoda in the EV Lacertae system that lasted from 9 August 2277 to 3 March 2279. It was fought between the forces of the Union of Voivoda and the Albanian-Kosovar separatist militia known as the New Jashari Army (or URJ). The conflict consisted of skirmishes and guerilla warfare, which lasted for over a year, before eventually dying down in early 2279.

Eruption of war

On 9 August 2277, an train carrying military equipment was derailed by members of the URJ outside the town of Mavrovo, killing 7. The goal of the attack was to weaken the Voivoda Military's supply lines and steal equipment for the URJ. On 14 August 2277, the Voivoda Military was sent to occupy the village of Dibër, suspected to be a base of occupation for the URJ. Jashari fighters arrived from neighboring villages and opened fire on the military. After a 3-day standoff, Voivoda forces pulled out of the village.
