Interstellar superpowers

The 4 interstellar superpowers are the greatest colonial empires in the Orion Arm, descended from the main opposing factions of World War III. Their tensions on Earth have followed them to the stars and now human civilisation is on the brink of a large-scale interstellar conflict.

These regional powers have managed to colonise star systems beyond their homes and have stood their ground against the might of the superpowers. Even some governments only confined to one system still assert a strong authority on their surroundings.
