Kharai is the second planet from Delhi Prime and the capital world of the United Republics of Bharat. It was first settled in 2124 as part of the URB's first extrasolar expansion plan. It is now a thriving world with eco-friendly metropolises and dozens of different cultures coexisting on it.
Etymology
The name Kharai comes from Hindi खराई kharāī "integrity, honesty, straightforwardness", which itself is formed from खरा kharā "pure, genuine, straightforward, plain, upright, frank" and -ई -ī which is a suffix that forms abstract nouns.
