The '''Owens-Izhitsa crisis''' was a minor armed conflict in the [[Delaware system]] that lasted from 4 August 2247 to 9 September 2247. It began after Russian mining company [[Izhitsa Corp.]] established mining colonies in the Delaware system, which the [[Owens Federal Union]] (founded by energy company [[Owens Energy]]) saw as a direct violation of the 2162 [[New Sydney Convention]]. The conflict ended after the New Sydney Convention was revized, allowing Izhitsa Corp. to continue operations in the Delaware system on the condition that they not encroach on Owens' claims in the system.

The conflict is also often referred to as the '''Corporate War''', due to the fact that it opposed two independent colonial powers attached not to nation states, but to corporations.
