The '''Great Orion War''', sometimes referred to as the '''Second Orion War''' (in reference to the [[Argentine-Jerichoan War]] being considered the first), was a wide-reaching military conflict that spanned the entire [[Orion Arm]]. It started after the assassination of [[North Atlantic Conglomerate|NAC]] president [[Sophie Levallois]] which was blamed on the [[Union of Outer Colonies]], when it was in fact performed by the terrorist group [[The Circle]]. As a consequence, [[Earth]] was completely destroyed in the [[Battle of Earth]], leaving behind less than 1 million survivors.
